The ULX40 UltraLite® Series Slider Suspension Axle System with composite spring-ride technology is a low maintenance choice for on-highway dry van and reefer fleets. This long-life suspension is backed by the industry’s first, and only, ten year system warranty, and meets fleet demands for lower total cost of ownership.
ONE INTEGRATED SAF SYSTEM
The ULX40 UltraLite® Slider Suspension is one complete integrated mechanical system with composite springs and SAF drum or disc brakes. It is delivered as a completely assembled system for efficient installation at the OEM and engineered for optimum performance for fleets.
LIGHT WEIGHT FOR MORE PAYLOAD
The SAF composite spring system is over 100 pounds lighter than a steel spring system, providing less weight for increased payload or measurable fuel savings, and reduction of GHG emissions of up to 150 lbs. per year.
SIMPLE AND EASY MAINTENANCE
Fewer components—no shocks, no air springs, no dock lock devices required, and no height control valves—mean it’s easier to maintain. And, routine inspections are quick and easy.

Qwik Release Pin Pulling System
Patented Qwik Release makes slider adjustment safe, easy, and efficient. Qwik Release allows one person to reposition the slider, and eliminates the headache of bound-up pins. Standard on all HOLLAND sliders.
Hardened Steel Wear Pads
Hardened steel wear pads reduce hanger wear and prolong life, preventing hanger failure.
Axle Clamp Assembly
Features 3/4˝ Grade 8 round U-bolts and an unique custom top plate design for positive U-bolt alignment and consistent clamp load.
Slider Sub Frame
Manufactured with 80,000 lbs. psi yield steel and strategically located cross-members to resist racking and buckling. Models available to accommodate 13⁄8˝ and 15⁄8˝ pins.
SAF Composite Springs
Discover the benefits of air-ride performance without the complexity of air-ride suspensions. SAF composite springs provide superior cargo protection, and an 80 lb. weight savings per tandem when compared to steel springs.
SAF X-Series 5.75' Diameter Axle
The optimized design of the 5.75˝ axle brings a 20 lb. weight savings per tandem, and is over 30% more rigid when compared to the standard 5˝ diameter axle.
Black Armour™ Metal Protection
The Black Armour™ metal protection process, unlike a primer, paint or powder coating, chemically bonds with metal to form a protective skin that is impervious to water and anti-icing chemicals. BLACK ARMOUR™ is top coat compatible without pre-sanding and remains flexible to resist gravel impingement. If scraped, BLACK ARMOUR™ inhibits the spread of rust creep.
Air Release Pin Pull
The Air Release Pin Pull system features fewer working parts than competitive models. Air Release is easily serviced, and the pins can be mechanically released in the event of an air-down situation.
Tire Pilot Plus™
The SAF Tire Pilot Plus™ is an enhanced tire pressure management system that controls pressure through inflation or high-pressure relief while maintaining equal pressure across all wheels.

INTEGRAL® disc brake’s advanced rotor and hub adapter design and manufacturing process. INTEGRAL’s proprietary bi-metallic casting process mechanically joins two materials with unique properties into one INTEGRAL® rotor/hub assembly.

Upper Body Rails
Roll formed body rails are manufactured from high strength 80,000 KSI steel.
SAF Drum Brake
The SAF standard configuration features a 5-3/4' diameter axle tube with 16-1/2' x 7' extended life brake linings, intermediate cams, and industry standard tapered spindles.
