SAF Hub Unit: Maintenance-free Wheel Bearing Technology

A reliable product that has been proven more than 100,000 over: The SAF hub unit is a compact hub and bearings unit. It is fully factory-adjusted and encapsulated. The hub unit is maintenance-free.

Standard

Exciter ring and sensor holder are premounted at the factory.

Excellent Corrosion Protection

We use great care in long-term corrosion protection on particularly exposed parts, such as hubs, hub caps or screw connections as well as wheel bolts and nuts.

Optimized with Factory Standards

Standard features include: uniform bearings, ABV-preparation, integrated rim system, specific weight reduction, cathodic dip coating process of axle and wheel hub.

Light-Weight

The very narrow hanger bracket saves weight and allows easy installation.

ABS-Sensor

Exciter ring and sensor holder are premounted in the factory. The ABS/EBS-sensor which may be retrofitted can always be activated with a simple and secure plug connection.

Axle lifts for MODUL

For the SAF MODUL we offer four different kinds:
· One-side lift
· Two-side lift
· Center axle lift
· Pivot mounted lift

These lifts offer individual solutions for special transport requirements. They are very light-weight and can be factory installed but also easily retrofitted later.

Cross member

The cross member provides for a continuous longitudinal side member even with the combination of rigid and self-steering axles.

Aluminum hanger bracket

Particularly light-weight and therefore also ideal for vehicles with aluminum frames.

SAF Hubometer

With this hubometer the operating times of trailers can be documented precisely and reliably.

SAF TIRE PILOT

Tyre inflation system for trailers and semi-trailers.
Monitoring and preservation of the set tire pressure in the Trailer.

SAF Brake Chambers

The same strict quality guidelines apply to our brake chambers as for all SAF components. We are using high quality internal components for our brake chambers so that you can depend on the long and secure function of this component. The robust and completely surface coated housing provides additional safety. For an additional advantage the air connections are fully integrated on the SAF brake chambers.

Drum brake

Our drum brakes offer the great advantages of well thought-out and perfected mechanics. We are therefore working closely and exclusively with approved and internationally known supplier partners. This enables us to not only offer you a particularly economic air suspension system but also a reassuring and safe one.

Disc brake INTEGRAL

The disc brake technology in the trailer has proven itself. Its benefits in particular as far as safety is concerned are undisputed.
Therefore, the share of suspension systems with disk brakes will continue to grow in the future. We are pioneers of this technology and we will continue to develop it systematically and consistently.

Disc brake with conventional disc

SAF-HOLLAND is one of the pioneers of disc brake technology for use in trailers and has continuously and systematically optimized their performance characteristics over a wide range of axle generations. The discs used by us are therefore both reliable and economic in everyday use and show a very good wear behavior.

12-t axle with outboard drum
